My office was having a Scottsdale coed volleyball league team and I signed up to be on it. I had not played volleyball since I was in junior high, but I thought that it would be a good way to meet people and to exercise while having fun. Our very first practice, I did horribly. I figured that they might ask me to quit but they were encouraging and showed me exactly what I needed to work on.

Our first match against a different Scottsdale sand volleyball league team was great, I used everything that my teammates had taught me and I even scored a few points. We ended up winning that match but then losing the next two. I still enjoy the Scottsdale coed volleyball league but am not sure if I will join for next year or not.

I may take some lessons and then see if I improve or not. That may be the decided factor if I play for my company’s Scottsdale sand volleyball league team or not. I want to be a much better player by this time next year and then I may join. Many of my other teammates have offered to help me, since they say that I have lots of potential.
