The Dell Repair Store Raised Its Prices
The dell repair store that is in town has raised their prices, because they are the only ones around who can fix a dell. They are thinking that they can charge whatever they want since they have virtually no competition. I started searching for a new dell repair company as soon as I heard this and found one online.
Our poweredge servers need to be fixed about once a month and we have always just used the local guy in town because it was convenient. Now that I have found this other repair shop online, it will be a little more inconvenient when it needs to be fixed but at least I know that we know that we will be paying a fair price, not one that is inflated.
I have already called and spoken with a representative from the online dell repair shop and explained that I will be calling on them the next time that I need help with fixing our poweredge servers. They have assured me that since I am now in their system and have explained the product that will need repairing, when it is time, that the turnaround time for me to get it back will be very short.
